Baobab powder is your GLP -1 Companion

Baobab powder is an alpha-glucosidase inhibitor that increases GLP-1 production, which is critical for glucose metabolism and weight loss.

GLP-1 is a peptide hormone produced in the gut that positively influences receptors throughout the body including the brain, heart, kidneys, and immune system.

Baobab powder increases gut bacteria which produce the Short Chain Fatty Acids (SCFA’s) butyrate, acetate, and propionate which stimulate the secretion of the GLP-1 hormone.

Diagram showing how healthy mucosa is affected by gut microbiome and short chain fatty acids, leading to decreased alpha glucosidase, increased GLP-1, and impacts on neuroprotection, cardiovascular disease, obesity, NAFLD, and metabolic syndrome.

KAIBAE® is committed to advancing our knowledge of the exceptional benefits of Baobab. Dr. Luc Maes, a Naturopathic Physician, Researcher, and Founder of KAIBAE® is strategically partnering with top scientists to investigate the powerful effects of Baobab fruit on gut health and metabolism.

Building on existing research, our work demonstrates the potential of Baobab super fruit as a driver to improve health and total well-being.

Preserving Biodiversity and Promoting Social Good

KAIBAE was inspired by the mighty Baobab tree. Once considered a lost crop™ the Baobab harvest now provides a critical source of income for our partnering communities in northern Ghana. Climate change, soil erosion, and disrupted rain patterns have resulted in lower agricultural yields, while a NTFP (Non-Timber Forest Project) such as KAIBAE’s provides a renewed and regenerative source of income. The KAIBAE harvest improves access to food, education, and healthcare and is now the #1 source of annual income for our community partners.
